Ohio Twitter Data Analysis

Thank you for visiting this page! As a rising senior in the Intelligence Analysis program at James Madison University, I have the opportunity here to present my hard work to the public. Over the course of the last couple weeks, I collected over 2800 tweets over three days from April 19th to April 21st. This was done through the use of Streaming Application Programming Interface (API) to collect live tweets from the state limits with  Ohio evaluating the connections within the parameters set.  I used MongoDB and python to collect and store the tweets in JSON form. After compiling the tweets, I used different methods of analysis and data visualizations tools such as Tableau, Gephi, and ArcGIS programs to help direct the attention towards popular users, hashtags, and network connections between the tweets and users.
